Finish the Picture
Finish a picture was a drawing that requires a lot of creative and imagination to complete. My image was about three kids that where watching the sky, in a Johnson propaganda. I cut the three kids out and separate them in three different parts of the paper. What I wanted to do from the beginning was to make each kid in a different environment
that reflects what they like to do. For the little girl I made a beach,
because I wanted to shows how does she enjoys playing in the sand. The other kid is like laid down in a soccer field with a soccer ball at his side. His goal and passion is for soccer, so he gives his best effort to be the best at this sport. The other kid enjoys being at adventures parks and at the deck watching the sea. When I paint I try to put a lot of details in almost every part of the painting, such as shadows and blending of colors. During this painting I looked to a lot of pictures of my nephews to get ideas from that. Somehow I manage to use them as my inspiration
to create the three different environments. I always think that art should express something, and that why this special project shows what my two nephews like to do. As always I give my best effort and enjoy painting and drawing.

Painting in Canvas
This project was about painting on a canvas
something we enjoy, something that make us happy. Some of the memories I have
when I was little, was that I love pink panther show. I could stay a whole day
watching the show, laughing, crying and even acting again all the scenes. While
doing this project, I learned a lot of new things of painting with acrylics. My
biggest challenge was that while shading, I had to be careful that all the
panthers have the same tone of colors. At the begging of the project I had a lot
of trouble shading the panthers, that why I had to repeat it several times. As I
continue painting I started to understand how to use this new technique. It was
the first time I ever painted on a canvas, and I have to admit it that is more
difficult and challenging than using color pencils or markers.

My collage was one of the projects I enjoy the most. This was a
project were we supposed to put all our likes, dreams, family, important things,
achievements, goals etc. Somethings
I have in my collage are pictures when I was little; both of them where during a
party. I also have pictures of my two nephews, Juan Martin and Jose Joaquin. I
love them and they just make me happy and laugh a lot. Other important thing
that I have in my collage is a picture of my family, which are the ones that
give me support and encourage me to follow my dreams. There is a picture of a
Chinese temple because one of the places I want to go when I grow up is to
China. There is also the symbol of UCLA, which is the university I want to enter
when I grow up. I use in this collage bright paper, cardboard, aluminum,
acrylics, and magazines. One of
